About the Cover
Our cover art for 2007 is by Linda Kirvan of Bethesda, Maryland. She has worked in watercolor, oil,
and various types of printmaking. While her love of nature and the landscape is a driving force in her work,
she is especially challenged by capturing a moment in time and the ever changing light in the landscape.
Touches of color are woven together with energetic brushstrokes to create from a three-dimensional object or
place a “new reality” in a two-dimensional space. This issue’s cover art is titled “Poolesville Store.”
